Fort Aguada

If you love history, then this is the right place for you to go to. At a proximity of just 4.3 km from the property, Fort Aguada is a popular destination for most at Candolim, especially for the serene sunsets. Located on Aguada – Siolim road, you can follow two routes towards the hilltop, either you could take a car from Sinquerim Beach, or you could cycle all the way up the steep climb.
The Aguada fort was built in 1612 to ward off the Dutch and Marathas, enabling the Portuguese to maintain strategic control for a long period of time. The name Aguada comes from a freshwater spring that has given sufficient drinking water for the Fort. “Agua” translates to water in Portuguese and “Aguada” translates to the place it was collected.
Chapora Fort
The Fort was built during the rule of Adil Shah in 1617 and was built from a military standpoint. Called Shahpoora in the days of its creation, this fort was altered to Shapora by the Malvankars later. The fort has become a popular tourist destination since the Bollywood film Dil Chahta Hai was shot here. A must-visit to experience the vibes of this movie, Chapora Fort is 33 mins and 12.8 km from Azara Beach House.
Se Cathedral

Part of a World Heritage site, located in Old Goa, Panjim, this Latin Church is a recognized World Heritage Site. Founded in 1619, this church was built to honor Catherine of Alexandria. The making was ordered by Afonso de Albuquerque over the victory of the Muslim Army, and since the event took place on the feast of Saint Catherine it was dedicated to her. It takes about 21 km to reach Se Cathedral from Azara Beach House.

The church is a little further away for most, 19.9 km from the property, but you can take this opportunity to see Goa at a quick glance.
Candolim Beach

Situated just 300 meters away from the property, is a perfect place for you to watch the sunset while visiting the shacks on the beach. The Shacks have delicious seafood for you to savor and munch on. Along with that, you can grab some beautiful souvenirs of pretty colorful shells or engage in some street shopping.
